Our Products

The changing healthcare environment is changing the way that consumers, employers and insurers purchase healthcare services. More and more, healthcare services are being purchased on relative “value”.  Value is determined by combinations of cost, quality and convenience.

These changes are creating needs for data products and services that evaluate and compare healthcare providers based on attributes of value.  Meritage Data is creating provider profiling data products and services that enable comparisons of both organizational and individual healthcare providers, based on their relative:

  • “Provider Experience Profiles”: Experience profiles are expressed as relative comparisons or rankings based on types of conditions or episodes of care. The idea is that cumulative provider experiences lead to expertise for the diagnosis and treatment of certain conditions. In medicine and in life, “practice makes perfect”. Meritage Data is mining many years of cumulative claims histories and patient encounters to establish experience profiles. Meritage data has pre-built hundreds of episodes of care and subsequently used those code groupings to query our cumulative claims information to pre-build peer-to-peer comparisons of organizational and individual healthcare providers based on hundreds of different episodes of care.
  • “Provider Attribute Profiles”: Attributes include rather straightforward information, such as name, contact information and provider type.  Attributes also include more complex information, such as affiliations, or links between organizations and individuals (e.g., which hospitals are part of which health system or integrated delivery network and which physicians refer to which other physicians — in and out of network).

Meritage Data has built provider profiles and is currently packaging them up into a business intelligence environment that will allow for rapid ad-hoc queries to be run. Want to define the condition you care about by your own set of ICD-9 and/or CPT/HCPCS codes? Meritage Data’s business intelligence system will enable rapid responses to incredibly complex questions that survey more than billions claims across multiple points of service and settings that include millions of providers.
